All of Headway's volunteers are highly regarded and are essential to the successful delivery of all the services.
Volunteers have a full induction, and are given on-going relevant training for their particular role. For one or two hours, or even one or two days per week; your time will be enjoyably spent making a difference to people's lives.
All volunteers are carefully selected and their personal skills are matched to specific job roles or individual clients. There are no upper age limits; in fact we welcome mature volunteers who can bring a wealth of personal experience into the team.
The wide band of volunteer experience stretches from students to retired social workers, housewives to businessmen.
We also welcome the diversity of all ethnic groups and cultures, and especially anyone willing to commit their time and skills to improving the quality of life of our clients.
